Art direction (publication design, merchandising and web management) ensuring the consistency of the brand message and responsible for helping to develop the magazine into Australian & New Zealand’s leading Mountain Bike media outlet. Challenges include keeping the brand up-to-date with consumer tastes and trends whilst remaining loyal to the heritage.
Accountable for the consistency of international brands in Australia (Roland Sands Design, Alpinestars, Fox, Bell, Dunlop, RST, LS2, Oakley, ShiftMX, Pro Circuit, POD, Repsol). Digital/ Print media, EDM, website, P.O.P and social media campaign production whilst maintaining brand & style guidelines. eDM design and set up in Mailchimp, website visuals and other marketing material (concept and preparation of print files), Seasonal look books (format and preparation of print files), manage post production of online/look book images, including photo retouching and store window displays (concept and preparation of print files). Maintaining and updating Visual Style Guides to keep the message consistent across all forms of media from print to packaging and trade shows.
Fast paced (FMCG) concept design and brand development for leading Australian sports retailers through managing a team of designers and manufacturers. From helmets, licensed Juveline, sporting goods through to new brand development and prototypes. Also creation and maintenance of brand websites (WordPress base). Based in Shanghai, China.
Layout and design of quarterly published Australian BMX print magazine with mentoring by the legendary Matt Holmes.
Colour & graphic development for Mongoose, Hoffman & GT Bicycles. From conception through to final production art, these designs were also carried over into a merchandising programme for the sponsored athletes.
Design assistant for Product Managers. Concept/R&D through to final international product graphic treatments.
Brand custodian. Creative Direction and implementation across all media from physical product to print and digital media.
Involved in all aspects of print and digital based design. From print and web based interactive catalogues, eDM’s (gif’s & MailChimp), advertising (magazine, banners, event signage, Trade shows etc) and P.O.P as well as bicycle colour and graphic packages. As well as product photography direction and management, the role also included being BMX team manager for Mongoose Bicycles Australia.
Print based Graphic designer. Catalogue, poster, advertisement and P.O.P based work. I was responsible for all internal design requirements and for the perception of international brands represented by this U.K distributor.
